Emma-Kate Lidbury: Exposure Joystick MaXx 2 Review

(post 23)Exposure Joystick MaXx2 Review

Emma-Kate Lidbury, Wiggle sponsored Triathlete has been testing out the Exposure Joystick MaXx 2 Front light. Here is her account of what she thought of it…

Anyone who has already “seen the light” when it comes to the Exposure Joystick MaXx 2 will know this is the Daddy of all front lights – you simply can’t mess with its credentials.
Rock solid but slimline, it is arguably the best designed light on the market, combining funk and function and performing equally well whether mounted on your helmet or your handlebars.

When riding with it on your helmet, it is so lightweight you’ll forget it’s even there – although motorists coming towards you won’t as its LED kicks out a mighty 240 lumens.
With a great burn time and impressive battery life, you can rely on it on the darkest of winter nights and you’ll certainly never be left wondering who turned the lights out.

For an LED, it has a brilliant beam which stretches a good 40 to 50 metres and can be used on two settings, high and low, with a flash mode also available.
The intelligently-designed Smart Port on the back provides space for an extra battery, a remote switch or a remote LED, which comes in mighty useful. Buttons are easy to locate and operate and it has clearly been designed and manufactured by people who really know what bikers want from their gear.

It’s no surprise to see it is one of Wiggle’s best-selling items as it is without doubt a top performer.

Wiggle are currently selling their Limited Edition Joystick MaXx which boasts the same great spec as the standard model but is anodised in a Wiggle orange finish to really make it stand out from the crowd. It is exclusively supplied by Wiggle with a helmet mount and handlebar bracket worth an extra £20, so if someone you know has it on their Christmas list this year, go on, do the light thing and buy it for them…

  1. Andy Hodgson Says:

To confirm, the Jostick has 4 modes in total, high, medium, low, and flashing, not 3 as described above. I know as I have Wiggle special edition and use it on a daily basis for my commute :-D

  2. Phill Says:

These lights are the best ! Small but with a very powerful beam, ideal for road riding or as part of an off road setup. The helmet mount is great.
