Shock Absorber Competition

Wiggle joined Shock Absorber to bring you a fantastic competition where you could win a year’s supply of sport bras!

Shock Absorber is a manufacturer of sports bras and was launched in 1995. The Shock Absorber Sports Institute (SASI) found that wearing a Shock Absorber sports bra during exercise reduced breast movement by up to 74%, delaying long term sagging. Shock Absorber have a range of sports bras, designed according to the varying degrees of support required, ensuring a tailored fit.

Sports bras are an essential item of clothing for women when exercising, there are many long term benefits. Surprisingly recent statistics found that a large percentage of women who exercise regularly do not wear a sports bra. Breasts have no muscle so when you exercise, your breasts move putting strain on the ligaments, this can stretch them causing long term sagging. Wearing a sports bra can help to prevent sagging and pain. Investment in a good sports bra can reap in the benefits of looking good as well as being fit and healthy.
The Prize.

We have now closed the competition and we have picked the lucky winner who is Lisa Summers who will receive 6 Shock Absorber D Plus Max Sports Bras, featuring:

* Classic support design.
* Shaped, padded straps with adjustable fastenings for best fit.
* Structural seaming with inner support sling.
* Performance fabric to draw moisture away from the body and keep you feeling fresh.
* Support level 4.

Here is what Lisa had to say.

Shock Absorber Competition Winner Lisa Summers

I would just like to thank you all at Wiggle not just because I am a competition winner but for providing an excellent service. Its a fantastic prize for me and also such an essential but expensive piece of kit. Men don’t know how lucky they are sometimes!

I’m not that good frankly but my husband is better and is entering lots of sportives this year. Together we are doing the Dragon Ride in Wales in June and Le Ronde Picard in September in France so this will be a great trip to see cycling in France and meet the Garmin team. Great stuff. Can’t wait to tell him – thanks so much.

Friday, March 19th, 2010

Niterider Review Competition – February

We are pleased to announce the winners of the Niterider customer review competition. A prize haul worth over £700 in total!

The 7 winners have now been picked and here is what they had to say.

1st prize – 1 x Niterider PRO600 light system – worth £499.99

Congratulations to Royston Smith for his review on the RRP Neo Gaurd

I have to say I was absolutely delighted to be told I had won first prize in the review competition. I’ve been thinking for a while about getting some lights so I can go night-riding. Winning the prize means I will have a top-end set up and no excuse for not getting out and doing some.

The opinions in the review are totally genuine and I really do believe in the product. It’s a simple and effective solution to a problem I’ve had for years and this helped motivate me to write the review. The video came about because, as the review page says “pictures speak a thousand words” and I thought it would be good for people to see how Neoguard fits on a bike and how it works. If the Pro600 is as good as it sounds I’ll probably do a review of that too before long!

2nd prize – 1 x Niterider Minewt Mini light system – worth £99.99

Congratulations to Owen Evans for his review on the 2010 Felt AR4

Check out his video review below.

I was very surprised to win a prize for my review, very excited. I only did it because there was so little information available on the product I reviewed. Still can’t believe I got 2nd brilliant! Really pleased….thanks wiggle….I was just pleased enough with the odd pack of haribo with my orders!

The Five winners below will receive a Niterider Ultrafazer Combo pack – worth £27.99 each.

Congratulations to :

Ben Morehouse for his review on the CycleOps Classic Mag Turbo Trainer

‘I am delighted to be a Wiggle customer review competition winner. When I first received the email telling me I’d won I was surprised, then happy, then a little hungry, then happy again.

I found the opinions of other cyclists really useful when choosing my turbo & I thought my opinion might be useful to someone else- the concept of customer reviews is so simple but very affective’.

I have been impressed with Wiggle from the first time I went on the website, & I continue to be now I have bought numerous things from them. The icing on the cake is them giving me something’.

Dogulas Colbourne for his review on the Continental Ultra Sport Road Tyres

Wow! Did I really win?

As I’ve been saying for some time now “If you don’t enter, you’ll never win.” So here’s to all you sceptics; there really are winners!

Phillip Connell for his review on the 2010 Focus Fat Boy

As a Wiggle customer, I’ve submitted a few reviews and didn’t expect to be drawn as a winner in this competition. One of the things I like most about the site is being able to see other people’s reviews of equipment I’m thinking of buying, so I simply joined in. I was delighted when I got the email and I can’t wait to receive my prize!

Raymond Honour for his review on Science in Sport PSP22 High Energy Sports Fuel 2.7kg Tub.

David Chow for his review on his Marzocchi Dirt Jumper 1 110mm Forks.

When I found out that I’d been chosen to win a prize for writing a review I at first was surprised and didn’t believe it, I thought someone was having a joke. I checked the link on the email to check the competition rules to make sure…I didn’t even know they were having a competition..I checked out the prizes too…some pretty decent light sets…hope I win the top prize as its a high quality niterider light..I’ve never used lights on my bike but now that I’m winning one I’m looking forward to giving it a shot on my local trail in the dark which should be a lot of fun lol, that’s were I’ve been today..check it out on You tube; Hollywell Dene..its got some pretty good jumps. I think I’ll be writing some more reviews now lol. Keep your fingers crossed for me people the no.1 prize light is the brightest one. Have fun everyone..the mud’s starting to dry out and harden..go out now and enjoy it..

Asics Competition Update – Win A Days Training With Helen Jenkins.

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

Asics Helen Jenkins

We are pleased to announce the winners of this superb competition in association with Asics where by Asics are giving away a chance to win a days training with World Triathlon Champion 2008, Helen Jenkins.

All you had to do was simply spend over £70 on Asics running products at wiggle.co.uk before Midnight Sunday 28th February to be in with a chance of winning!

Asics have been developing running shoes and running clothes for more than 50 years. But their principles have never changed. Everything Asics undertake at their research and development center in Kobe, Japan is developed on the basis of scientific work with the intensive cooperation of male and female athletes. And with a very clear objective: To produce innovative sports product solutions and technologies to help athletes achieve their goals. ANIMA SANA IN CORPORE SANO – A sound mind in a sound body – ASICS This phrase has shaped Asics destiny. It is the echo of their consistency, innovation, commitment to quality and originality.

lucky winners Katrina Pirlo & Stephen Morrell will be taking their guests Catherine Townsend & Jeremy Paul Mulkern to attend the training day with Helen Jenkins due to take place on Friday 16th April 2010.

This is what Katrina Pirlo had to say!

Hi Jason, I’m absolutely chuffed to hear I’ve won this…. I only did my first tri last year and have signed up for two this year. A training day with Helen Jenkins and a bunch of new kit is such a motivating prize at this time of year. Thanks Wiggle (and thanks for the haribo that came with my shoes). I’m really excited.

And Here’s what Stephen had to say!

I wasn’t sure what else Helen Jenkins had won (apart from the World Championships) but Jeremy filled me in:

• 2006 – UK National Triathlon Champion
• 2007 – Australian Caloundra Sprint Triathlon Champion
• 2008 – La Paz ITU Triathlon Pan American Cup Champion
• 2008 – Vina del Mar ITU Triathlon Pan American Cup Champion
• 2008 – ITU World Triathlon Champion

‘Well done, she’ll put you through your paces. Could be harder than a Thursday evening session!’

(We have a cycling club turbo night, and a ’stretch’ session with our Physio – usually the most painful part of the week – on a thursday night)

I hope his facts are right. Some training tips from a world champion are enough for me.

So I’ve gone from a feeling of stunned elation to being completey intimidated and wondering if we can keep up with possibly one of the all round fastest people on the planet, even for a training session!

Absolutely looking forward to it, though and always nice to win something!

We will be keeping you up to date with the winners training with Helen Jenkins via the Wiggle Bloggle.
