My first impression of the Gore Bike Wear ONE Gore-Tex Pro Jacket is that it instantly looks and feels like a premium, high-quality jacket. In all-black, bar the reflect detailing and gold logos, it looks really good.

The first thing I noticed about the feel, was that the abrasive resistant outer fabric feels reassuringly durable, and capable of withstanding the bumps and scrapes that the trail with throw at it. Despite this durability, the jacket still feels very light and packs down to a small volume.

I have not had the chance to test the jacket in the rain yet but I can vouch for the windproofing and breathability, both have performed well in current conditions. Features like the fleece lined collar and adjustable hood definitely give me the confidence that this jacket will protect me from the elements in tough winter conditions.

For the fit, I usually take a small and the Gore size Small in this model is very good for me, the arm length is long enough to allow for all movements when riding technical sections, and there is adequate space through the back to allow for a comfortable riding position. Though not tested yet I can see the longer back and fold away drop tail coming in handy for wet, muddy rides.

I am very pleased with this jacket and will review again once it has been tested in harsher conditions.
