In this post, Team Wiggle rider Sarah Pain, gives us her latest update on her Gore Bike Wear Lady Power Trail kit - now that the summer sun has finally arrived!

---

The onset of summer, has meant that I can actually go riding without the usual collection of waterproofs and jackets - a rare treat! This has meant that I have spent a lot of time wearing the Gore Bike Wear Women's Power Trail Shorts and the Women's Power Trail Singlet; along with the Women's Power II Short Finger Gloves.

Here's my feedback on the kit…

Gore Bike Wear Power II Short Finger Gloves

Now, I have a confession to make - I'm quite fussy with gloves. I like them to have enough padding to be comfortable, but not so much that you can't actually 'feel' what's happening on your bike. I also don't like them when they feel too restrictive.

I'm really impressed with these Gore Bike Wear Women's Power II Short Finger Gloves; as they tick all of the right boxes (and none of the ones to avoid!). They are comfortable, but still allow you have the right degree of feedback. They have all the usual features; such as the padding, wipes etc., along with loops for easier removal.

They are a snug fit, which concerned me at first; but actually that just means that they are super comfy on the bike, with no rubbing or chafing.

Gore Bike Wear Power Trail Lady Singlet

I've worn the Gore Bike Wear Women's Power Trail Singlet on quite a few occasions, and it's a great top for riding in sunny weather.

The fabric is really soft and wicking; so that you don't overheat. It is a loose, but fitted (in the right places) design. The neck is quite open, which is really cooling too; and the bottom is a curved shape, so that it's longer at the front and back, which makes it easier to move around on the bike. It even has a handy little pocket hidden away at the back (big enough for keys / emergency cash etc).

I should add that I haven't worn it on anything too technical; as my local trails are all quite overgrown at this time of year; so being sleeveless, I would risk my arms being cut to shreds by brambles! I am confident that it would perform in the same great way though!

Overall

Overall, I'm still really enjoying the way that all of the kit works together. It's really great to have a range specifically designed for women, which is first and foremost technical; rather than falling into the usual floral and pink related traps.
