The Wiggle New Forest Sportive returns on March 30th. We’ve taken your feedback on board to make this the best one yet.

Why you should ride with us

You’ll start the season with your first century of 2019...

We’ve come up with three amazing, fully marshalled and signposted routes through the New Forest to kick-start your season. For those of you who really want to put that winter training to the test, the Long route is a perfect choice.

Why 102 and not a nice, round 100? Think how satisfying it will be to nonchalantly mention that you’ve already ridden over a century this early in the year when you’re chatting with your riding buddies.

If you can complete 102 miles with us at the end of March, we salute you. You can take on anything.

Or ease yourself in gently with our 80- or 38-mile routes

We know that launching into your first century this early in the year is not everybody’s idea of a good time, however beautiful the route.

The Short and Classic routes, at 38 or 80 miles, will have you spinning into the season with a smile on your face.

We can’t think of a better way to start the year as you mean to go on.

You can conquer a local legend

The very mention of it can strike fear into the hearts of local riders. Then there’s those who relish the pain.

The New Forest isn’t exactly known for its alpine ascents, but the undulating terrain still has a few short, sharp shocks in store for you. For many, the most fearsome of all is Blissford Hill

For better or worse, sign up to the Classic or Long route and you’ll be taking on this famous beast of a climb. At 25%, it’s a real test for the legs.

You’ll experience the best of the New Forest

Open heathlands, vibrant green forests, stunning coastlines. Whichever route you choose, you’ll be experiencing the best of what the New Forest has to offer.

Highlights include the magical woodland at Rhinefield Ornamental Drive, the old smugglers' cove of Bucklers Hard and sweeping views at Roger Penny Way.

Just watch out for the free-roaming horses and ponies and keep your eyes peeled for deer!

You can get as many HIGH5s as you need

Our nutrition partner HIGH5 will be on-hand at the feed stations to keep you going with a range of delicious sports nutrition products. They'll even top up your bidons.

You’ll never ride alone

Things go wrong. It happens to us all.

We know that even the most reliable, organized cyclist can leave their tire leavers at home. Then there are those days where the puncture fairy decides to pay multiple visits.

Our team of Ride Captains will be on hand to help. Whichever route you’re on, they’ll never be far away. We’ll load them up with spare tubes and tools so if bad luck strikes, you won’t be left stranded.

And if your bike is beyond all help, get pro-level neutral service from Vitus. They’ll be on the course with spare bikes to lend you in the worst case.

Why you’ll enjoy every minute in our event village

It’s easy to park and ride

We want your sportive experience to be as smooth as possible.

Starting the day on the wrong foot can make all the difference to your ride.

You’ve told us that parking provision hasn’t always been perfect at our events. This year, we’ve been working with our hosts at Pylewell Park to make sure you have a hassle-free time.

And if you want to let the train take the strain, Lymington Pier station is only one and a half miles from the venue!

The Wiggle of Fortune is back and better than ever

To celebrate the end of another great sportive season at the Kent Classic last year, we introduced the Wiggle of Fortune. According to our survey, you all loved it so we’re bringing it back!

Give the wheel a spin for your chance to win amazing prizes.

You can grab those last-minute essentials at Platinum prices

When you become a regular customer at Wiggle, you benefit from our best available discounts. Our ‘Gold’ customers who have spent over £100 in the last 365 days benefit from 5% off list price. Customers who have spent over £500 in the last 365 days are promoted to Platinum which means they get 12% off list price.

We know that our sportive riders sometimes need last-minute essentials but have been disappointed at the lack of anywhere to buy them. That’s why this year we will be setting up our own Wiggle pop-up shop in the event village at Pylewell Park and everybody benefits from Platinum prices!

Out friends at dhb and Vitus will also be joining us, so you’ll be able to try the latest bikes and kit.

We’ll keep you well fed and caffeinated

‘The biggest thing for me was the lack of hot drinks. A coffee definitely would have helped with a boost.’

Coffee, cake, cycling. Is there any better combination? According to customer feedback, we’ve unfortunately failed to deliver.

So, this year, we’ll be bringing in the big guns to make up for it. Expect the finest baristas and plenty of locally sourced cake. We think you deserve it.

And if you’re after something more substantial, we’ll make sure you don’t go hungry, whatever your dietary needs. Whether you’re vegan, carnivore or gluten-free, you’re in for a treat.

You’ll get the luxury throne you deserve

You’re headed to the start line. Do you need to go? Again?

Pre-sportive nerves can have us popping to the loo more than we would like to. However, outdoor events are not generally known for their pristine facilities.

We know that some of you have been less than impressed by the toilet provision at previous sportives. That’s not OK. At the Wiggle New Forest Sportive, you can expect a higher standard of loo and they’ll be regularly cleaned and restocked.

We’ve even thought of runners

We’re not sure why they would, but family, partners or friends who prefer running to cycling can join our friends at Salomon for a trail run.

Salomon will be bringing their latest shoes to try and leading runners around a scenic New Forest route. Watch out for details on how to sign up. Coming soon.

There will be Haribo

Yes. Haribo. Enough said.
