Be fearlessly, unapologetically you. That's the motto of Wiggle Challenge ambassador Lisa Thake, otherwise known as Fat Girl Fit.
We're proud to be supporting Lisa as she takes on a host of exciting cycling challenges this year. Here's a bit more about her.
Meet our other Challengers...
My name is Lisa and my main passion is cycling. I love being out on my bike, helping others who wish to get into the sport and sharing the knowledge I have picked up along the way.
My main aim is to inspire and encourage people to get outside and be active. Through my social media channels, as well as partnerships with Active Essex, This Girl Can and now Wiggle, I want to show how accessible activities like cycling and hiking can be.
You can catch up with my story so far on my Fat Girl Fit blog where I've been documenting my journey to being a healthier and happier me. I genuinely live by the strapline ‘be fearlessly unapologetically you’.
I'm looking forward to another action-packed year with events across the UK and even as far as Sweden and Norway. My husband and I recently bought a camper van so it's going to be even easier to pack up the bikes and head out on adventures.
We're also planning lots of hiking trips so we can explore more places. This year, we'll be hiking Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis, completing all 3 peaks, and heading to Ireland to do the Cuilcagh Boardwalk Trail.
Whether it's hiking or biking, I like to have fun and enjoy whatever I am doing – if you are not having fun then what’s the point?
Lisa's 2020 Cycling Challenges
I'll be making the most of the new camper van and filling my calendar with cycling challenges throughout the year. The main four are:
- Vätternrundan - 315kms following the shoreline of Lake Vättern in Sweden.
- The London Revolution - A loop of 155 miles around London.
- Styrkeproven - The world's oldest and longest sportive, taking place in Norway.
- Prudential Ride London - The iconic 100-mile route on the roads used in the 2012 Olympic road race.
I've also been eyeing up the Cambridgeshire Gran Fondo - watch this space!
