First look - Garmin Fenix® 7 Smart Watch

Garmin's top smart watch for performance athletes and outdoor adventure lovers is updated for 2022. Turn heads 7 days a week with the new Garmin fēnix® 7 Sapphire Solar.

The Garmin fēnix® series has earned its reputation amongst athletes, both professional and amateur, as one of the best multi-sport smart watches money can buy. From gym workouts to epic outdoor expeditions, the feature-packed fēnix® can provide extensive data and coaching for pretty much anything you do.

Now in its seventh iteration, the Garmin fēnix® is back and ready for adventure.

Equipped with a Power Sapphire™ screen and expanded solar harvesting area, the solar harvesting is 300% more efficient than it was on the fēnix® 6 Solar. This means that, with Solar, the fēnix® 7 Sapphire Solar can keep going as long as you can.

Competitive athletes will be impressed with stamina mode which helps you to manage your effort in real time. Plus, if you're racing for a PB, the Race Predictor will show your time trends and predicted finishing time, so you'll have all the information you need to refine your strategy.

Multi-Band GNSS means the fēnix® 7 Sapphire Solar will give you even more accurate location data than ever before. Pre-installed TOPO maps can be viewed easily on the generous touchscreen and you can also download global maps.

Premium lifestyle features such as wellness tracking mean that this could be the only watch you'll need. Plus, the brand-new wrist-based heart rate monitor's improved algorithms will give you the most accurate health metrics yet.

The line-up

With three models to choose from, there's a Garmin fēnix® 7 Sapphire Solar to suit everyone. Whichever Garmin fēnix® 7 Sapphire Solar you choose, you'll get 24/7 health and wellness monitoring including heart rate, respiration, stress, sleep and more, improved outdoor navigation and preloaded TopoActive maps, in addition to day-to-day essentials like smart notifications, music storage and Garmin Pay™ contactless payments.

All three feature the Power Sapphire™ scratch-resistant solar charging lens to keep your power topped up on-the go. The key differences between the three are the size and the battery life.

The display on the Garmin fenix 7 Sapphire DLC Titanium GPS Watch is 1.3" and, whilst solar-charging, it can go for up to 22 days in smartwatch mode or up to 73 hours in GPS mode.

Meanwhile, the Garmin fenix 7S Sapphire Solar Titanium GPS Watch has a 1.2" display and has been styled specifically for smaller wrists. The 7S can keep going for up to 11 days in smartwatch mode or up to 46 hours in GPS mode if it's solar charging.

The Garmin fenix 7X Sapphire Solar DLC Titanium GPS Watch is built for the most demanding outdoor adventures and challenges. It comes loaded with all the same features as the fēnix® 7 and 7S Sapphire Solar, plus a 1.4" display and built-in LED flashlight to keep you going even as daylight fades. It also boasts the longest battery life out of the three models - up to an impressive 28 days in smartwatch mode or 122 hours in GPS mode whilst solar charging.
