2019 Tour Divide is here
Friday 14th June at 3pm GMT 152 riders, including dhb ambassador Josh Ibbett, set off to race 4418km down the length of the Rocky Mountains.
Tour Divide is arguably the original bike packing event and one of the toughest on the calendar. Starting in Banff, Canada and finishing on the Mexican border in the USA. This unsupported off-road race passes over some of the highest mountain passes in the USA, across great plains and through scorching deserts.
dhb ambassador, Josh Ibbett isn’t one to shy away from a challenge, after holding the legendary MTB record for the South Downs Way Double for over 5 years, Josh’s biggest achievement has been taking the win at the Transcontinental Race in 2015.
What do you pack for a 4418km bike ride?
dhb have worked closely with Josh over the last year to find the right kit to use throughout Tour Divide. Focussing on kit that's lightweight, durable, protective and most importantly; comfortable. Josh will be wearing dhb's long-distance cycling collection, Aeron Ultra along with some dhb Aeron LAB products and dhb accessories.
Track Josh's progress
Josh has estimated the race will take him around 16 days to complete. Track Josh’s progress via the official race tracker at www.trackleaders.com or more in depth reporting and a tracker at www.dotwatcher.cc.
Best of luck Josh!
