A few years ago, when I was young and less sporty than now, I started running. A few kilometres to start with and then a few 10k races, before I finally decided to run the Tarragona Half Marathon, the beautiful city where I used to live.
After that race, I realised I was a runner, I love running and I decided to prepare my first marathon.
The 3rd October 2010, I found myself at the start line of Loch Ness Marathon. The charming atmosphere of Loch Ness, together with the magic of a marathon, made me feel fascinated with the experience.
I hope to continue enjoying the pleasure of running 42km 195m and if any day I have to stop, I will be always able to say: I am a marathon finisher.
After a few years running, I was interested in trying other endurance sports. Moreover, the combination of running with swimming and cycling is positive to avoid injuries.
Not knowing how, I became a triathlete, and after a few short triathlons, I registered for an IRONMAN. My sport challenge was getting definitely harder. In order to start the marathon, you must be able to swim 3.8km and ride 180km.
The 8th July 2012, after 11h 20m of effort, I became a Finisher of Challenge Roth, and as triathletes often say ‘pain goes by, pride lasts forever.’ For that reason I am proud to say: I am an IRONMAN.
Working at Wiggle - #goodstuff
Since I started running, and subsequently getting into triathlon, this has been a place I visit quite often, a place where daydreaming was allowed (new running shoes, new bike, new helmet…). Exactly, that place is Wiggle.
After a lot of orders placed and a lot of money spent, one day I decided to check whether there was a job position which fitted my profile. Surprisingly enough, they were looking for me; an online marketing manager for the Spanish market with deep knowledge of running, cycling, swimming and triathlon.
After a few interviews and a lightning visit to Wiggle H.Q. in Portsmouth I became the new Wiggle Online Marketing Manager for the Spanish Market, and I can proudly say: I am a Wiggler.
