What better way to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year than combining running and dressing up, arguably two of the best things, and running to raise money for charity.
We can't guarantee it will get you on the good list, but it's a great way to spend time having fun outdoors with friends and family.

Sporty Santa facts
- The fastest marathon time by somebody in a Santa suit is 2 hr 49 min 21 sec and it was set in Abingdon, UK by Paul Fernandez on October 20th 2019.
- The traditional Santa Dash distance is 5km but many events also run a 1km race for mini-Santas.
- The record for the largest Santa Dash was set in 2016 at the annual Great Outdoor Provision Co. Surf-n-Santa 5 Miler at Virginia Beach when 5,025 runners donned the famous red suit. An amazing achievement, but not quite as impressive as the largest gathering of people in Santa suits ever which was at the Nagar Sakthan Thampuran Ground, Kerala, India, on 27 December 2014 when a jaw-dropping 18,112 people took part!
It's not just runners getting involved. Christmas swims and even surfs are becoming staples on the festive calendar. The record for most surfing Santas, in case you were interested, is 320 and was set on Sydney's Bondi Beach in 2015.
We haven't heard of a Santa triathlon yet, but you might be interested to know that the fastest time to dress a Santa is 52.84 seconds and was achieved by Andre Ortolf in Brannenburg, Germany in 2016.
