During the period from 14th – 28th June I spent 13 days in the French region known as the Ardeche. The area is a beautiful place for cycling as you have plenty of deep valleys and gorges to descend into and explore.
I’ve had a great start of season, despite the disappointment of being disqualified in a race early on in the season. I’ve fought on, and in May managed to secure 2nd place in a circuit race at Thruxton Motor circuit.
So early June can only mean one thing – constantly checking the weather forecast for the Brecon Beacons! The Wiggle Dragon Ride generally blows through South Wales in early June on the back of a stiff Westerly wind carrying squally showers,
After having missed a couple of rounds of the Southern XC due to crushing one of the seat stays in my frame in the national round at Plymouth - I was all set to race the next round, just 20 minutes from home!
