We know that a café stop is an essential part of many an outdoor adventure, but what if you could pay with those hard-earned miles of effort? At the Wiggle Adventurer's Café, you can.
Temperatures are falling and nights are drawing in but we know that's not going to stop you from getting out there.
“We know autumn is a pivotal time in the outdoor sports calendar, and a time when even the most dedicated of runners, cyclists and adventurers re-consider moving their efforts indoors," said Fran Baratta, Head of Outdoor Adventure at Wiggle. "However, this needn’t be the case as with the right motivation, kit and insight, autumn can be a fantastic time to get outdoors even when the weather isn’t as inviting as summer."
To celebrate our love of the Great British outdoors, we're opening the Wiggle Adventurer's Café especially for all of you who carry on whatever the weather.
Don't worry about cash or cards - we don't want your money. We want to see how many miles you travelled and in return you'll get a hot drink and a sweet treat.
Our pop-up café will be located in the heart of beautiful Kent and how you get there is up to you, as long as it's self-propelled.
You could walk the Greensland Way long-distance walking route, taking in Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Or maybe you'll tackle the iconic 300m Leith Hill climb on your bike.
Whether you run, hike or cycle, the final leg involves traversing a picturesque lake situated within a deer park that's not normally accessible to the public to access our café on its very own remote island.
We'll provide paddle boards and kayaks to complete the final leg of the journey, or you can take a ride on our boat.
On arrival, you'll be handed your special currency card to record your journey. Show your card to a Wiggle official and you'll receive your coffee and cake.
Because we want to make this extra special, we're working with Great British Bake Off finalist and outdoor sports enthusiast Steph Blackwell to devise a mouth-watering menu to reward your efforts. Follow Wiggle on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for your chance to vote for your favorite bakes.
“We can’t wait to welcome new and existing Wiggle customers to the Adventurer’s Café next month and show them how brilliant the great outdoors can be in the UK and what is waiting on their doorstep," said Fran. "We want everyone to be ready for everything autumn has to offer and what better way than with some delicious cakes and stunning views.”
