Wahoo is already well-loved by cyclists for the KICKR turbo trainer and ELEMNT GPS bike computer. Now the innovative Wahoo ELEMNT RIVAL GPS multi-sport watch is set to introduce the brand to a whole new audience.

Since their beginnings back in 2009, Wahoo has been on a mission to find a better way of doing things. From their first Ant+ key which simplified tracking, measuring and sharing fitness data, through to their Wahoo KICKR indoor cycling ecosystem with realistic gradient and even headwind simulation, they've developed a reputation for innovation.

Having established itself as a leading name in cycling tech, the brand has turned its years of expertise to create the ultimate multi-sport watch which they say delivers a 'seamless performance advantage.

Wahoo ELEMNT RIVAL - key features

The Wahoo ELEMNT RIVAL is packed with everything you would expect in a premium multi-sport watch, with plenty to please existing fans as well as bring new ones on board. Here are the key features we think sets the RIVAL apart from its rivals.

'Pick up and play' simplicity

Ask any existing Wahoo user what they love about the brand, chances are they'll tell you about how easy the products are to master. When you've got training to do, the last thing you want is to get bogged down with chunky manuals and fiddly menus.

The RIVAL can be set up in no time at all via the ELEMNT Companion App. Once you've installed it on your smartphone, all you need to do is scan a QR code from your watch and the app will take you through registration and configuration.

Once you're up and running, the app becomes your one-stop-shop for all your workout data, seamlessly integrating activity from other Wahoo devices like the ELEMNT bike computer and KICKR trainer. You can even use it to edit your workouts.

Touchless Transition

Triathletes will be excited about the 'Touchless Transition' functionality.

You've got enough to do in T1 and T2 without thinking about your tech. The ELEMNT RIVAL will automatically switch between swim, bike and run profiles so that you get accurate real-time performance data.

Plus, if you're using the ELEMNT bike computer, the two devices can automatically share to each other so that you never lose sight of your data.

A battery that keeps going as long as you do

The sleek styling of the ELEMNT RIVAL means it's not going to look out-of-place if you want to wear it as your everyday timepiece.

In smartwatch mode, the RIVAL battery will last an impressive two weeks.

Then, when you're training or racing with GPS mode on, you'll get 24 hours from a single charge - more than enough for all but the most extreme events.

If you're pushing the pace and you want to check your performance metrics, it's unlikely you'll want to slow down enough to squint at tiny numbers.

The ELEMNT RIVAL features 'Perfect View Zoom' which makes it easy to zoom in and out of the data fields that are most important to you.

Control your KICKR

Control your Wahoo KICKR Smart Trainer from your wrist! Once you've paired the RIVAL watch, you can set your trainer to ERG, Level or Passive mode, or just record your workout if an external app is in control.
